The UARA Sportsman division is a competitive stock car class that serves as a key developmental platform for drivers working their way up through the grassroots racing ranks in Florida. Raced on asphalt short tracks across the state, the Sportsman class provides consistent, close competition and is a recognized step on the ladder toward Late Model and higher-level stock car competition. For Matthew, the Sportsman program represents his Florida roots — racing close to home, building laps, and staying sharp on familiar tracks while his three other programs take him across the Southeast and beyond.

Boyd Tech provides Matthew with a well-prepared Sportsman program at Citrus County Speedway and New Smyrna Speedweeks. The team’s familiarity with the Florida short track scene and the UARA Sportsman class gives Matthew a solid base to work from at both venues, ensuring he is competitive from the moment the season gets underway. The Sportsman program with Boyd Tech is a focused, efficient campaign — compact in schedule but purposeful in its role within Matthew’s broader 2026 season.
